Car in the Creek; Niles Canyon Shutting Down

A car has crashed into Alameda Creek east of Palomares Road.  Fremont Fire is on scene and requesting Fremont Police shut down eastbound traffic so they can safely conduct a rescue operation.  On scene besides the battalion chief are two engines, a truck and an ambulance.  The truck just radioed that the patient will not be transported to a hospital, apparently having no or minor injuries.  The call of the crash was around 8:43 from a citizen that could see taillights from a vehicle that had overturned in or near the creek, according to CHP dispatch logs.   The female driver, the only occupant, was able to walk away from the crash.
