Police Activity This Morning at Chase Bank on Mowry
A man walked into the Chase Bank on Mowry at Fremont Blvd just before 11 a.m., placed a handgun on the counter and asked an employee to put bullets in it for him. He had a box of bullets. According to radio traffic employees ushered the man out and called FPD. Officers arrived two minutes later and located the 50ish male at the bus stop near McDonald's on Fremont Blvd. The male suspect did not follow commands and was bit by the FPD K-9. Paramedics and an ambulance were called. This odd event, in my opinion, just highlights the need to removed mentally ill people from the streets. This obviously was not a serious bank robbery attempt, but a man in the public square without a full deck.
