Thursday Morning Briefing

Seemed like the city was quiet last night despite the stormy weather.  According to Pulse Point, FFD responded to a number of medical calls overnight, but no structure fires or car wrecks.  There were no "listener spikes" on the FPD dispatch stream, so probably quiet on the police side as well.

    Yes it did sound very quiet last night. This morning I received a notification there were 174 listeners, I thought wow something huge is going on. I tuned in and crickets. I didn’t hear anything then the number dropped to 15 🤔

    Yes that's the problem we have been having with bogus high listener counts. If truly over 100 people were listening, that number would hold or slowly trail off because some big event was going on that would just not end suddenly. Frustrating to have to play back the archives to see what I missed (or not).
