Woman Robbed at Gun Point in Warm Springs (Updated)

Three men robbed a woman of her handbag at her residence near Durham and Paseo Padre around 10:30 this morning.  At least one suspect had a handgun.  They fled in a  gray Chevrolet four door sedan or hatchback.  Apparently no injuries to the victim.  Officers are calling this a home invasion robbery.  Some cash in an envelope was taken and one wonders if she was followed home from a bank.

This turned out to be a very serious event.  Here is the info from FPD:

Home Invasion Robbery

On Tuesday, May 5, 2020, at about 10:35 a.m., a home invasion robbery occurred in the 2000 block of Laurel Canyon Court.  Two males with masks covering their faces entered the side garage door of the residence.  Both males were armed with handguns and confronted the homeowner in the master bedroom.  The suspects told the victim to lay on the floor and was not physically harmed.  The two suspects ransacked the master bedroom and took jewelry and cash before entering a vehicle occupied by a third suspect.  The vehicle fled the scene.  The suspects were described as all being black males in their 20’s wearing track suits.  Patrol handled the initial response before detectives arrived to assume the investigation.

The investigation remains active and ongoing.  Anyone with information is asked to please contact FPD Investigations at 510-790-6900.

  1. They could have followed her home especially if she doesn’t normally carry that kind of cash around and the home invasion happened at that time. IMHO.
