TWO ALARM FIRE IN NILES

Fremont Fire is on scene of a structure fire on Felicio Common in Niles.  Arriving fire units have immediately called for a second alarm.  This is a two story condo located behind the Vallejo Adobe, off of Rancho Arroyo Parkway.  7 engines and 2 ladder trucks have been assigned.  The fire is burning in the lower floor but may have extended into the upper floor.  Medical aid was called in for one homeowner, who was transported to a local hospital with smoke inhalation and a first degree burn to one shoulder,  per radio traffic from the ambulance.

    I heard all of the sirens and then saw all of the trucks on the way to the fire. I’m trying to place the building do you know if it’s a historical building?

    It's an apt or condo located in a residential area behind the Adobe, but not on the grounds itself. I believe access is off Rancho Arroyo.
