Fremont Fire has a rescue boat en route to the Dumbarton Bridge area for a rescue operation. Menlo Park Fire Dept is launching one from their side of the bay as well. Will update when more details are known.
Update at 6:15- Apparently a boat with adults and children on board is stranded in the bay between the Dumbarton Bridge and San Jose landfill (Alviso area?). A fire person made phone contact with the party on the boat and they are stuck at low tide but will wait it out for high tide. The fire rescue boat is returning to shore.
There was a similar incident at the San Leandro Marina this afternoon. Is the Super Moon tide catching mariners off guard?
At least no one was hurt. Hmmmmm
ReplyDeleteThere was a lot going on today. First nice day in weeks and everyone is out and about carrying on. I only caught about half of the activity.
