IS THE NILES MURDER NOW A COLD CASE?

Two months ago, on May 19th, a homicide occurred on the patio of Devout Cafe on Niles Blvd.  The people in Niles know about it.  My blog readers know about it.  But Fremont Police detectives and PIO Geneva Bosques have been successful in keeping the media at bay.  Do we have a killer on the loose?  How did he die?  What was the motive?  Are there more than one suspect?  Was this a biker gang kill?  Is the community safe?  We don't know.  As far as we know the case has gone cold and we may never find out what FPD detectives know.  Seems to me they have an obligation to inform the public.  Two months is a long time to go without acknowledging a major crime.  Two months.  And shame on Chief Petersen for allowing this breakdown in community engagement.
