HOMICIDE [187]
May 20, 2019
around 8 AM

Description: HOMICIDE [187]
Case No.: 190520007
Agency: Fremont Police Department
On Sunday May 19th, an hour or so after the sun set, a local man was beaten to death.  Fremont Fire Station 2 was on scene treating the victim.  For some reason they did not notify the police department that they had a severely beaten man on their hands.  Several people have later said that this was an obvious beating.  He was not simply a man that fell and hit his head.  The crime scene went unprotected for a good ten hours.  FPD detectives have refused to release any details.  Their PR machine said they are waiting for the toxicology report to come in.  Should take 30 days they say.  50 days have rolled by.  And what would the toxicology report say that prevents them from releasing some details?  He may have had alcohol or drugs in his blood, but, again, this was an obvious beating and not a drunk man falling and hitting his head.  And if this wasn't a homicide, let the public know.  If it was, let us know the case is being looked into.  Thad Steiner deserves at least an acknowledgement of his death.
