"Your Flex is Clear"

You may have heard that phrase on the scanner.  "1X2 your flex is clear".  This refers to the officer's request to use the police department gym.  From what I've read, by contract, officers can work out for one hour a shift AND get paid!  This is a great recruiting tool, and  also benefits the City financially assuming that a healthy employee is less likely to incur an on the job injury.  So when things are quiet out on the streets, you may hear "your flex is clear".
