Numerous police officers are searching the Niles area for an older Volvo wagon. Not sure what the want is, but there is reported to be a handgun in the driver's side door pocket. Vehicle was last seen north on Mission from Mowry when the officer lost sight of the vehicle. Motor officers are patrolling Niles Blvd and other officers are out on Mission Blvd.
Update: An officer has the vehicle and is holding the driver at gunpoint on Essanay Place. Now putting out a code 4...driver detained. I'll play back the archives and see what this is all about.
Update: This all started about 1:30 at the dog park off Stevenson. The reporting party's dog and the Volvo driver's dog got into a fight and the humans had a few words to say to each other. The Volvo driver then displayed a handgun and left with his dog. A few minutes after the call came out, 1X3 observed the vehicle on Mission near Niles Blvd but lost it. As reported above, an officer later picked it up parked on Essanay Place.

ReplyDeleteHad a couple dogs with him too! I heard them call for the 40mm in case the dogs got in the way (non lethal i believe).
