While this story pertains to the crisis in San Francisco, much of it applies to Fremont as well. Conservatorship is a solution that Fremont and Alameda County need to pursue, in my opinion. We have all seen the mentally ill around town, and as the article explains, many are so mentally ill that they don't even know that they need help. Here is the link to the SF Chron story:

There have been a few call me about people sitting in the median or passed out through out Fremont tonight. I didn’t hear the final about the person laying on the tracks and medical was needed. Or the female near Mowry & Mission, there were many callers for that one.
