Did Fremont Fire Blow The Crime Scene?

More facts have emerged about the assault in Niles Sunday night.  Fremont Police confirms that they were not notified of the event until nearly 12 hours later, at 8:05 a.m. Monday.  The 9-1-1 call  would have come in to the Fremont Police dispatch center on Stevenson Blvd.  FPD says the request was for medical aid for an unresponsive male.  They most likely transferred the call to the county fire dispatchers in Livermore.  Fremont Fire contracts with the county for dispatch services.  They in turn would have rung up station 2 in Niles.  The dispatch call came over the radio at 8:54 p.m. as a medical.  Had it been known or communicated that this was an assault victim, the radio call would have gone out as "respond for an assault victim" and would most likely have been told to "stage" away from the scene until police officers have secured the scene.  If the attack was brutal resulting in a grave condition, one would think this would be obvious to the medics on scene.  Why they did not call the police once they arrived on scene and observed the patient will be something that should be looked into.  Twelve hours is a long time for the suspect(s) and witnesses to disappear and for evidence to be destroyed.  FPD won't want to say negative things about allied agencies, but hopefully the truth will come out and the suspect will be caught.

  1. I’m sorry for Thad and his family but this has become a cluster. The rumors are/were out of control to the point people calling for the Florence to be shit down. Come to find out, this happens behind a coffee shop? Is anyone calling for this establishment to be closed down? Come on people, slow your roll and wait for the fact before spewing inaccurate information. It also didn’t help with FPD not sharing some general information.

  3. Thanks Hotrod. I didn't know if anyone would notice, but thought it was the least I could do. He seemed to be well known and liked in Niles.
