Attached is a link to the EBT story about the shooting on Monday. It took Hayward three days to release the info, but now we know officers shot at home invasion suspects as they left the victim's home. In the news story, the writer says this occurred in the Fairview District. This in incorrect- it occurred in west Hayward. The shooting in Fairview was investigated by sheriff's deputies as it lays outside of the city of Hayward. Two people were shot and injured in that event.

Correct, the West Hayward shooting was near Mt Eden High school. The school was placed on a brief lockdown.
