Fun Fremont Fact

Kristi Yamaguchi graduated from Mission San Jose High almost 30 years ago at age 17.  She was home schooled for her first two years of high school to accommodate her skating schedule.  The Chicago Tribune had this to say about her in 1989:  "Yamaguchi, 17, of Fremont, Calif., became the first U.S. woman since Margaret Graham in 1953 to win more than one medal in the U.S. National Figure Skating Championships."
Kristi funded the Alway Dream PlayPark located on the Stevenson Blvd side of Central Park.
