FUSD schools are closed through May 1st, announced in coordination with Alameda County Offices of Education (pdf). Schools are tentatively scheduled to re-open on Monday, May 4th, but the closure could be extended depending on conditions. FUSD will announce any changes by posting on the District website and utilizing Parent Notification systems.
“This is an unfortunate but understandable step to take as we work together to slow the spread of COVID-19,” added FUSD Acting Superintendent, Dr. Raúl Zamora. “As anxious as we are to open schools and get things back to normal, safety comes first. We are confident with the wide array of on-line opportunities created and used by our teachers and staff, learning will continue for our students as long as necessary.”
Please note: All FUSD playgrounds, tracks, and fields are closed to the public.
Thank you and stay safe.
