From monitoring radio traffic, it appears that FPD has gone to a tactical 12 hour on/ 12 hour off shift schedule. Day shift officers were working until at least 6 pm, with midnight officers hitting the streets by 7 p.m. This must have something to do with the county shelter in place edict.
From FPD Twitter in response to my question about the 12 hour shifts:
Yes we are. In order to maintain essential operations, effective today we are working 12-hours shifts. Our traffic unit has also been reassigned to patrol. It will continue for at least the next month.
Wow.
