Three weeks after a 32 year old man was shot in broad daylight in s supermarket parking lot officials have not released any additional information. For starters the name of the victim, Anthony Garza, has not been officially released by FPD. Most police agencies would release (and may be required by law) the victim's name soon after the next of kin have been notified. Fremont seems to follow a different policy. No updates from detectives as to how the investigation is going. There were many witnesses to the shooting along with video footage from several cameras. While this appears to be a targeted hit and not a random killing, the public deserves timely updates.
*** A comment below indicates that this may not have been a targeted killing. More reason now for FPD to be out front about this. Could happen again.
