The Gun Shot That Wasn't

The clerk at the E-Z 8 Motel on Cedar in Newark called NPD around 2 this afternoon to report that he heard a gun shot come from a room and a van leaving with Arizona plates.  NPD scrambled a bunch of units to the scene, but there was no gun shot victim.   Another unit located the van and put an enforcement stop on it.  Then word came from the scene that there was a boyfriend-girlfriend disturbance in the room, but the sound of a gun shot was really a chair that fell against the wall.
