647c PC

I've heard this penal code violation twice now in the last 30 minutes.  The first case was a male at the Wells Fargo on Paseo, and the second was a male on Calaveras.  Maybe it's a new tactic.  Cite for the misdemeanor instead of telling them to "move along".

647c. Every person who willfully and maliciously obstructs the free movement of any person on any street, sidewalk, or other public place or on or in any place open to the public is guilty of a misdemeanor.

  1. Wow, I wonder how long this will last? I’m sure in due time, they won’t issue them anymore because they will be tired of writers cramp.
