Friday afternoons are alway bad in Fremont, but due to a wreck on 680, much of that flow has diverted to Mission Blvd down to Niles Canyon. A motor officer at Niles Canyon and Mission says traffic on Niles Canyon Road is barely moving. Things will get worse, of course, when the schools let out around 3. Oh, and it is hot out and tempers are short...
Update: calls coming into to dispatch from people complaining of traffic on Mission south of 680...commuters cutting through neighborhoods and making illegal turns onto Mission.
