Huge Traffic Meltdown on Walnut Thanks to UPRR
A UPRR freight train broke down sometime around 2:30 blocking Walnut Avenue and maybe Stevenson, but I couldn't tell for sure. The train had a broken air hose some 75 cars back, which probably would have taken it south of Stevenson. The northbound train began rolling around 3:20, but in the meantime traffic was in gridlock between Walnut and Mowry, and Overacker and Cherry as commuters and those getting an early start on the weekend, were stuck.

That’s what it was. I could see on my cameras the cars were stopped and I thought it was from the construction. Man I’m glad I was still at work.
