Code Elon

The Fremont Police radio codes need an update.  Now that the Tesla patrol car is in full operation, and has, on occasion, run low on battery during a shift, a new radio code is in order to inform dispatchers and supervisors of their status.  For example, "3O8, Code Elon, 10-19", would indicate that his vehicle is low on charge and is returning to the station to charge the vehicle.   Or, "1O1, Code Elon, en route to Target at The Hub".  This would mean the officer would drive over to the Target charging station at The Hub.  This alerts the dispatcher and supervisor that the officer would be out of service for an extended period of time while the vehicle charges.  Perhaps the officer could catch up on some report writing, or better yet, return to the station and "flex" for an hour while the car is charging:  "2O8 Code Elon.  Request Flex".  Lots of uses of the new code!
