Another Ambulance Meltdown

A Falck Ambulance crew requested a second ambulance for a call they were on in southern Alameda County around noon today.  The fire dispatcher said they had none available.  A few minutes later a call was broadcast to all other ambulance companies in Alameda County for help.  They were experiencing a high volume of calls for service in the southern part of Alameda County and requested assistance from BLS (basic life support) ambulances.  A few did offer assistance.  This Falck Ambulance contract the county has signed off on is not looking very good today.

  1. This is not the first or second time that I’m aware of they were not able to respond to calls. In my eyes, they have breached their contract.
