CHP Pursuit Into Fremont

A Dublin Area CHP unit pursued a UCPD stolen blue Honda Civic from Pleasanton into Fremont via Niles Canyon around midnight this morning.  Hayward Area CHP officers assisted and placed a spike strip on Mission Blvd south of Las Palmas which the suspect vehicle drove over, slowing it down.  The Honda then turned right on Ondina Drive before coming to a stop.  At least one of the five occupants tried to flee but was quickly captured by CHP officers.  Fremont Police officers, including a K-9 unit, assisted, but this was mostly a CHP operation.  The car was stolen out of U.C. with the suspect being the 17 year old step daughter of the owner.  In all, the five occupants of the vehicle were detained but it is unknown if all were arrested.
