A grass fire on the shoulder of northbound 680 near 84 in Sunol has caused the right two lanes to close, probably due to parked fire vehicles and smoke. At the present time, traffic from Auto Mall north is averaging less than 10 mph. Niles Canyon is about the same. There is a report that Mission Blvd near Stevenson is at a crawl like its a Friday night.
Update at 4:30- numerous vehicles are using Morrison Canyon Road to bypass the traffic mess.
I’m at La Piñata and the ladies at the next table said Walnut is also at a stand still. One of them couldn’t get out of their driveway until they forced their way in to traffic. 🤦♀️
