Signals out at Mission and Niles; Wind Event Today

The traffic lights went out at Niles and Mission Blvd just before 8 this morning.  Officers placed portable stop signs at the intersection.  In the past PGE has cut power to the Niles Canyon area during wind events, and according to their map, that is the case today.  The wind is forecasted to exceed 20 MPH on the streets of Fremont from around 11 a.m. until sunset today, with humidity of less than 20 %.  I'll do my best to report wind/fire events in the area today.
Update 8:48 a.m.  In U.C. two trees reported down in two different locations.
8:58 a.m.  In Hayward, officers are asking for portable stop signs at various intersections where the power is apparently out.  An officer is reporting a large tree down..20 foot by 10 foot!  The dispatcher verified the size...I think he might have meant 10 inches wide.
9:00 - wind observations at both Napa Airport and Travis AFB show wind gusts in excess of 50 mph!
10:02- tree down on Sleepy Hollow in Hayward.  Hayward Airport reporting wind from the north at 30 knots gusting to 40!
11:35- wires down on Mission near Guardwara, north of Nursery.   Also Newark PD reporting trees down on Sycamore.
11:45 - UCPD reporting that most of Union Landing businesses have their own power.  Sounds like PGE might be out in the area.
1:00 -  Power outage on Grimmer north of Auto Mall.  Portable stop signs will be set out.
1:10 - A tree has fallen on the hood of a Toyota Camry but the driver, who was in the car, was not injured.
