The woman whose Honda sedan was struck by a vehicle being pursued by Fremont Police officers is still on life support and fighting for her life. According to her son, who lives out of the area, she has undergone three serious surgeries to address numerous fractures and severe injuries. She may lose sight in one eye, but according to the son, the eye is a low priority considering the other medical issues to resolve. As of late last week she remained on life support.
As you may recall, a 16 year old boy was driving the vehicle that struck the woman, and was traveling at 100 MPH. According to police, the vehicle the teen was driving was believed to be connected with a theft from a local retailer. Here is a link to an earlier post on the pursuit:
