Is There An Arsonist Loose in Niles?

Fremont Fire Dept. crews responded to the same lot on Niles Blvd last night twice.  The first call was just after 8 p.m. where an RV caught fire and torched off some nearby grass, brush and a few trees.  Two hours later, on the same property but further east, a fire broke out in the vegetation.  A shack on the property was threatened with flames under the eaves.  Per radio traffic, arson investigators from both the fire department and police department were requested.  A drone was active to search the grass area for any suspects.  As of this writing there has been no information pushed out by either FPD or FFD regarding this incident.

  1. Not good. Didn’t this happen not to along ago as well? Fires were set in random homeless areas? I think about a year ago?
