One of Fremont's license plate readers (LPR) got a hit on a stolen gray 2018 Chevrolet Malibu in the Ardenwood area around 9:35 last night. The vehicle was actually a rental car from San Jose that was not returned. An alert officer located it 7 minutes later at the Jack in the Box on Ardenwood. Officers followed it on to westbound 84 onto the Dumbarton Bridge where they activated the red light. The vehicle fled from the across the bridge and then onto University Ave. The four minute pursuit ended after the vehicle turned onto a dead end street and ran through a chain link fence, apparently disabling the car. In the end, with the assist of Menlo Park Police, 3 suspects were taken into custody from the vehicle.
