Crash on 680 North at Sheridan; Another Ugly Commute

A motorcycle is down on 680 north near Sheridan road on this Thanksgiving week get away Friday afternoon.  CHP reports minor injuries to the down rider.  He may have gone down after bumping two cars (lane splitting?).  Traffic is slow from Auto Mall north, and 880 is slow as well from the prior Tesla crash.  Fremont residents can anticipate crowded streets again on this busy Friday as commuters and vacationers search for alternate routes out of the south bay.
Update at 4:45  A motor officer has shut down Morrison Canyon Road at the base of the hill.  Apparently there is a bottle neck of traffic half way up.  The City needs to get serious about this closure.
At 5:15 a motor officer has taken control of the intersection at Mission and Niles and is allowing northbound traffic on Mission to flow.  Presently it is backed up beyond Walnut.
