By now you have heard about the two boys in U.C. that were shot and killed in the early morning hours of November 23rd in the parking lot of Searles Elementary School. Here is a timeline of events taken from the police dispatch tapes.
1:28 The call is dispatched to 3 UCPD patrol officers...several reports of shots fired near Searles Elementary School. Other callers place it on Whipple or near Dry Creek.
1:33 An officer advises that he is checking a vehicle in the school parking lot. The rear window is shot out and the vehicle has collided with a tree. Another officer soon joins him. The vehicle is familiar to at least two officers.
1:35 An officer sees the boys in the van "I've got two GSWs (gun shot wounds). Need fire/medical".
1:42 Two Alameda County Fire Department rigs arrive.
1:46 An officer advised that there are at least 10-11 shell casings in the parking lot.
1:53 A sergeant advises that one boy is deceased and one will be transported to a trauma center.
