Man Tased by Cop Last Night

An occupant of a stolen 2019 Mazda SUV was tased by a Fremont officer last night on Mowry near Peralta.  The vehicle tripped the license plate reader on Mowry near 880 at about 8:40 p.m. Four minutes later an officer spotted the vehicle on Mowry at Paseo Padre.  A stop was placed on the vehicle and it yielding near Parkside, but then continued eastbound.  The vehicle stopped at the red light at Peralta and one occupant fled on foot while two others stayed in the car. Within 15 seconds of the suspect fleeing the car, an officer announced on the radio that a taser had been deployed.  The two in the car were apparently detained without incident.  The man tased is 33 years old and was transported to a local hospital.
