Adding Alerts to the Scanner Radio App

Many of the blog readers here also listen to the Fremont Police Dispatch live stream through various apps on their smart phone or desktop computer.  Those that have the Scanner Radio App can program it to notify you when listeners reach a number of listeners that you program in.   Typically during the daytime there are about 10-15 listeners and during the night 20-30 listeners.  If something big goes down that number will shoot up rather quickly.  There were almost 200 listeners last Friday night to the pursuit and subsequent search in the Hayward hills.   If, for example, you set the alert to 50 listeners, you would receive a notification even with the app off, when the number of listeners reached that number.  This would give you an idea that something big is going down.  There is also a feature that allows you to set a number for any scanner active on Broadcastify.  This is handy feature allows you to learn about a big event anywhere in the country even if you don't have it as a "favorite".  I don't think other scanner apps have the alert feature, but I might be wrong.
