Police Activity at the Casa Verde Apartments

A concerned citizen reported a man acting strangely in the parking lot of the Casa Verde Apartments on Eggers around 4 this afternoon.  He had a stick and looked like he was high on drugs.  The first officer arrived a few minutes later, observed the man, and called for his cover unit to step it up to code 3.  Other officers were rolling as well.  The man was agitated.  He kept reaching into his pocket.  He would not listen to commands.  This could have gone south in a hurry, but apparently the officer kept his cool, waited for backup and with that officer's help they were able to detain the subject.  Paramedics were called in to treat the man for a medical issue- perhaps he got scraped up while being forced into compliance.
