More On Friday Night's Pursuit Into Hayward
The Fremont Police PIO, in an email to me today, said the department did not plan on issuing a news release anytime soon. Apparently the stolen vehicle was associated with other crimes in an adjacent county and they are still working leads. I don't know why other departments in the Bay Area can provide basic details to their community about unusual activity their officers have been involved in, but not Fremont. This is NOT transparency. All of the bad guys know they are wanted and it seems to me basic details can be released.

I totally agree with you. Knowledge is power. If they share some information, the community may be able to help. We have more eyes if there than PD. Oh yeah, that’s right, Fremont doesn’t have a crime problem 🙄
