SWAT Team Active in Milpitas Last Night

A fifteen year old boy, an apparent Vietnamese gang member, was taken into custody by Milpitas Police officers for armed robbery late last night.  Alameda County task force officers, along with Milpitas PD, surrounded a mobile home in north Milpitas around 9:30 last night.  Inside was the suspect, who may have committed up to seven armed robberies, along with his grandparents and others.  Commands to exit the house were give in Vietnamese as the officers believed the older family members did not speak English.  By 11:20 the suspect and a young female exited the house and were taken into custody.  SWAT teams from Fremont and Newark were active along with several K-9s and at least one drone.  There were at least eight Fremont patrol officers providing perimeter control.  This teen boy appeared to be a high value target that is suspected of committing a number of serious crimes.

  1. And he’s only fifteen?! I hope they can keep him off the streets if he is already that much of a high risk.

  2. I couldn't believe it either. I played the tape back and the DOB was in "oh three". Grandparents probably had no idea what that kid was into.
