Shortly after 9 this morning several FPD officers pulled four occupants out of a Nissan Altima in the parking lot at Fry's. The call originally came out as an auto theft with the suspects holding the victim hostage and trying to get into his house. According to radio traffic the victim convinced the suspects that he would get them some money, so they followed him while he drove his cousin's truck. In the end, according to one of the officers, this all started in Manteca. This does not sound like a clear/cut criminal case. The four occupants had no wants, but only one had a valid drivers license. Sometimes cases like this turn out to be civil in nature...guy not making payments on his car or something. Must have been quite the scene in the parking lot on a Saturday morning
