The picture below was taken on Technology just south of Auto Mall. There is a fenced off area around about a 3 acre parcel that is flat. There is a foundation so it seems buildings were there at one time. Maybe some of you Fremont old timers can remember some type of federal building here. I'm going to see what I can find on the internet.
After looking at old aerial photos it seems that the federal government may have owned a large swath of land from south of Auto Mall (Durham in the old days), east of Grimmer, and west of Fremont. This large parcel would include the present FUSD admin building and their bus garage acreage. What is left, apparently, is the parcel off Technology Circle.
