Girl Takes Daddy's Car; Gets Busted

Just before 1 o'clock this afternoon the dispatcher put out a broadcast for a stolen vehicle north on Mission from Washington.  This was an "LPR hit"- an alert from the license plate reader apparently located nearby.  Several units started searching the area before finally locating the car at McDonald's by 680.  The teen driver said she took it from her dad, but didn't tell him.  Ooops.  She and her friends were transported back to Mission High.  Others were taken to Ohlone.  A lunch break away from school turned out to be embarrassing, at a minimum, but they will have some stories to tell when they get back to class.
