Around 10:30 Saturday night the staff at WTH called to report a 46 year old male was ready to be discharged but is refusing to leave. This is the second visit to the hospital today for this man, according to radio dispatch traffic. Staff further stated that when told to leave, he stood up and urinated in the room. There must be some place to put these people who have "few life skills". Public resources (police, fire, hospital) are being stretched. Obviously jail is not the answer, but there must be a secure facility with needed services that they can stay at and be off the streets.
I agree with you. Instead of allowing all of these multi-use developments being built they should use the money to build a place for them.
