St Patrick's Day Wrap Up
A bad combination of a major drinking holiday and a rare sunny and warm late winter day here in Fremont has led to tragedy. There were several man down calls that involved drunks, to start things off. Then at 6:17 p.m. a drunk driver drove his car into the opposing lane on Central and killed the passenger in the car he struck. He fled on foot but was apprehended shortly after in the backyard of a nearby home. Two hours later a fight broke out on Mission north of Nursery. Four vehicles were parked or crashed in the area and 3-4 people were fighting it out. One person was down on the sidewalk unconscious. He was taken to a hospital with head trauma. FPD escorted the ambulance...a sign of possible gang involvement. Fifteen minutes or so later a drunk woman crashes her KIA sedan into a parked car on Faulkner in Glenmoor. Her air bags deploy. She takes off running down the street. Apparently no one was injured except, perhaps, the hit and run driver. Last I heard she was still outstanding but they have a good description of her and I'm confident she will be located.

Thank you for clarifying a couple of the calls. They were overlapping and it was kind of hard to keep up.
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome. I had to play back the feed and I was surprised at finding that Faulkner crash.
