Officers are out now with a man with an axe on Alvarado near the Alameda Creek Trail. He just tossed the axe so officers are able to safely approach and detain. The suspect reportedly brandished the axe in front of at least two people, per radio reports.
Update- Suspect may be arrested for 422 PC (making criminal threats to cause bodily harm) as well as brandishing. There are apparently two victims from this crime that occurred on the creek trail. EBRPD police are en route to take a report as this is their jurisdiction.
