Once again Fremont City Council took the kool-aid and approved more housing, this time along Fremont Blvd in the Centerville District. While most of the debate was about whether to keep the fire station or not, certainly traffic and schools will be impacted. SiliconSage developers were able to convince 4 of 7 council members that tearing down historic fire station number 6 and building some 165 housing units would benefit the community. Only members Bacon, Kassan and Mayor Mei objected. Here is the story from EBT reporter Joey Geha:

This is crazy. The building needs to stop. Fremont is already over crowded and the streets can’t twke anymore cars.
