Short Pursuit of Felony Vehicle
One of Fremont's license plate readers picked up a felony want vehicle on Mission Blvd. An officer was able to find the vehicle rolling north on Mission at Stevenson around 4:45 this afternoon. As cover units were rolling into the area, the suspect vehicle accelerated and then turned east into Niles Canyon where the officer lost sight of it. The felony want was assault with a deadly weapon, the vehicle being the weapon.

Sounds like they just pulled someone over who they thought might run. Is it the same car (2007 Mercedes w vanity plates)?
ReplyDeleteThey stopped a Nissan Pathfinder out east of Sunol on Foothill Road. I too thought it might have been related, but VIN was clear and I believe the driver had no wants as well, so I'm not sure what the fuss was about but they are towing the vehicle.
