HPD Shuts Down 880 Last Night

Hayward Police officers shut down southbound 880 near Tennyson around 7:45 last night in order to conduct a high risk felony stop.  The reason for the stop is unknown.  CHP officers ran traffic breaks to slow traffic into the area.  After the occupants were taken into custody, HPD reopened the Nimitz.  Along this same stretch almost 12 hours later, a white pick up truck overturned onto the center median wall.  Only minor injuries were reported, but the two fast lanes were blocked.  CHP is on scene at this time.
