A scary few minutes for a couple of women home alone in the garage of a home on Arkwood in the Irvington District this morning. There was banging at the front door and they could see a young man with a red shirt on trying to break down the door, so it seemed. They called 9-1-1 and six or seven officers responded, arriving about 3 minutes later. Initially the man was gone from the front of the house upon the first officer's arrival and the front door was secure. I don't think they found the guy as of this writing.
Update: In the end, it looks like this might have been some kind of communication problem where the man at the door had permission to be there or knew another occupant of the house. Units cleared the area after searching the house and talking to several people.
Wow that is scary. What makes it scarier for the women is he wasn’t caught. H could easily come back.
ReplyDeleteI updated the post...looks like the man at the door knew one of the residents there...someone other than the women in the garage. So...no burglary attempt it seems.
