Home Burglaries This Morning

A home on Eggers and Cabrillo both were burglarized this morning.  Per radio traffic, the suspect entered the home by smashing the rear sliding door.  What is disappointing is that FPD dispatch had a report of a suspicious person on Glenview about 30 minutes earlier and sat on it, apparently not having any officers available.  It is my understanding that these type of calls where it looks like someone is knocking on a door in an attempt to see if anyone is at home, would be prioritized at a level of a burglary in progress call.   Perhaps two burglaries could have been prevented if an effort was made to send officers to this call.  In the Glenview call, the suspect who knocked on the door, left in white Honda four door sedan.
