Robbery Suspects Stopped on Nimitz

It's a familiar scenario.  Bad guys from Oakland drive down the Nimitz Freeway to Fremont, commit a theft or robbery, jump back on 880 and head back to Oakland.  Fremont officers are hip to this and have been for sometime.  At 9:40 last night 3 people walked out of the Target at Pacific Commons (see story below) without paying for the items.  One of them, a woman with blonde hair and wearing a yellow sweater, punched an employee as they left.  They got into a silver or gray BMW that was waiting for them.  While Zone 3 officers interviewed witnesses and reviewed video data, Zone 2 officers were setting up at freeway onramps.  One unit, 2A6, spotted a similar vehicle traveling north on 880 about 15 minutes later.  The vehicle was registered out of Oakland and the tags were expired.  An enforcement stop was made at the Alvarado-Niles exit.  After back up officers arrived, two males and two females were removed from the vehicle.  One of the females matched the description of the woman who punched the Target employee.  I can't confirmed that they were arrested but I suspect that they were.

  1. Maybe owning a more modestly-priced car would lead to a personal budget where clothes could be bought rather than stolen.
